Submission guidelines

We are looking for submissions. We are looking for you and your work. Below are the submission guidelines. If there is anything that is unclear to you or you have a question, feel free to contact us!
We are also looking for permanent contributors in any way or form.

The reply waiting time will be between 7 to 10 days.

What submissions do we accept?
-         We accept poetry in any form and of any length.
-         We accept, fiction, short fiction, non- fiction
-         We accept novel excerpts
-         We accept articles and book reviews
-         We accept prose
-         We accept your musings, ponderings, questions
-         We accept photography
-         We accept digital artwork
-         We accept traditional art
-         We accept previously published and shown work, as long as it falls under these conditions:

1. You are the author of the work (obviously!)
2. It was posted on your or group: blog, Facebook, deviantart, forums and similar; self-published book/novel/chapbook, other magazines.
3. On and at any place shown which makes you retain your the rights to your work (forever or after first publication, regarding other magazines)

*We cannot show and publish works, which were previously published in : magazines with rights restriction, magazine ongoing submissions (one’s you have not received answer to yet), traditionally published anthologies and books of any kind, brand licensed photography, client work photography, graphic design or work of any kind – due to them having restrictive sharing rights and require permissions from people other then you.

You retain all rights to your submissions and may submit them simultaneously to another place – at least from our side.

Regarding your submissions:

Your writing will be edited for typos, extra spaces and similar which is not related to content or specific formatting of your writing.
Please make sure the photographs you submit are clear and can be viewed properly in more then one dimension.
We accept all digital work that has been done by you in any program.If your work contains stock that requires listed credentials, you must list them to us so we can give them. You also must notify the stock provider. If the stock provider is not responsive or hard to reach – we take this as a No go and cannot show your work.
We accept tutorials.
Please make sure the showcase of your traditional artwork or scan is such that the art is clearly visible.
We do not accept submissions of any work that contains and endorses in a promotional manner : racism, abuse of any kind, cruelty towards another and similar.
We accept work writen in: Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Spanish and Turkish – which will be showcased in their original form accompanied by an English translation.
*None of the polishing and editing will be done without your approval, consultation and without showing you the outcome.

The Tophat Raven Magazine

Hello dear readers, friends, artists, passerby, curious wanderers and welcome to the page of The Tophat Raven magazine.
This magazine is a newly created idea, which strives to combine literature and art into a fantastic sight for the eyes, at the same time nurturing growing, creative, blooming artists and writers and professionals alike and give them a warm page to show their amazing work to the world. We will work towards showing you what amazing worlds the mixture of Art and Literature creates everyday.
I am the creator and editor of this magazine. You might ask me why, in today’s world and web full of places where you can both read and look at pictures and have a vast range of publishing possibilities, am I doing such a thing? I would like to add to all this with something that will be different. I consider myself a writer and many of the publishing offers have since I started looked very gloomy and uninviting to me. Most of them required me to pay them. Most of them wanted me to pay them so they order stuff from me. Most of them only accept one type of writing or photography . It was and would each time be a dissatisfied feeling and I know that there is many people who feel the same way and have never shown their work anywhere because of these reasons. They felt unwelcome. This is what I am hoping to change.
This magazine will be an e-zine, which will most likely change in the near future. You will never be asked to pay for reading it or submitting to it. You will never be asked money in return for presenting your word, or telling your message, putting your love letter or your favorite cityscape that snatched a part of your soul inside this magazine.
I am available for all your questions, suggestions or just about anything that crosses your mind. I want to show the world, one person at a time, your best and most loved work. I want to show them You.
The first issue of this magazine will be published in December this year. The magazine will be divided into various literature and art sections.
